‘Indian Larry’ dies after stunt in Cabarrus

Indian Larry, a master motorcycle mechanic and stunt man, passed away this morning following an accident while performing Saturday at the Liquid Steel Classic and Custom Bike Series show at Cabarrus Arena and Events Center in Concord. He was best known for his appearances on Discovery Channel’s “Great Biker Build-Off” show.

This guy was a freaking nut. He had a bible verse tattooed on the front of his neck. I don’t remember the exact verse but it basically said when its your time to go, its your time to go. Indian Larry died exactly the way he said he would. He was one of the last great old school chopper builders.

Larry’s neck tattoo: Vengeance is mine, sayeth the lord. It was printed backwards so it would read correctly whem viewed in a mirror. A reminder to keep his cool. Larry is cruisin’ down that eternal highway. We miss you man!

    In God We Trust
    Vengance Is Mine
    Sayeth The Lord
    No Fear

I would think that would be some what explanatory on its own..

In God we Trust….. I am not even going to write what that means…..

“VENGEANCE IS MINE”, sayeth the Lord. From Leviticus in the Old Testament to Romans in the New, both Christians and Jews have been told to never seek vengeance against one another, “but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the Lord”.
    (Leviticus 19:18)

This is what Larry was all about he kept it real people loved him because he loved his neighbor and treated them with the utmost respect and was loved and respected back for that fine quality…

Weblog by psychophil hey Phil before you call someone a Freaking Nut why don’t you take a minute to see what other achievements in life he has made before you determine what he was about because you have no clue what you are talking about when it comes to the Iconic person who will be remembered in history unlike yourself.. Sure he will be remembered for his engineering marvels but I like to think it will be because he was a truly caring and giving human who loved life and gave of himself to others..

I am not saying the guy was a saint but you have to give him tremendous credit for being on the wrong side of the tracks cleaning up his life and learning how to give back to life what life gave back to him…

NO FEAR is easy he had none………

Signed a True Indian Larry fan…

(Also MCP MCSE CCP- for those of you about to judge me as just a bouncer and the name Johnny WaCko, those letters means I probably have more technical ability in my pink then you have in your whole body)

Actually the ‘freaking nut’ was meant as a compliment. I’m a surprised it was taken the wrong way especially since I ended with ‘He was one of the last great old school chopper builders.’

As for certifications, I don’t place much stock in them. I’ve known too many techs/programmers with MS certifications. I never hire based on pieces of paper and letters after a name. Translation: I have far more respect for a bouncer than I do a MCSE. (and do you really think I’d take issue with the name Johnny WaCko? Did you happen to catch the name of this blog?)

Larry, we could use your insight today…’Old Soul Surfers’ and ‘Old School Chopper Builders’…become as ‘ONE/Zen’ with the wave or the bike…Larry lived unconditionally, fearlessly, and without the baggage of hate, people sensed that about him and were drawn towards him…RIP….seeya in the Borderlands…
