So shortly after my previous entry I fired off an email to XM support that said:
Your registration page does not work with Firefox (I’m using version 1.0.7)
18 hours later I get the following message back:
Thank you for contacting XM Satellite Radio.
Different system configurations will yield different results. We recommend the following system configurations:
Mac:
Internet Connection: Broadband
Processor: G4
Memory: 256 MB RAM, 64 MB Video RAM
Operating System: OS X
Sound: Soundcard w/ speakers or headphones
Additional Software: Windows Media Player 9, Flash 7
Browser Compatibility: Firefox 1.0+ (Internet Explorer not supported); cookies must be enabledPlease continue to visit listen.xmradio.com for updates and information about XM Radio Online.
Thank you, again, for contacting XM Radio Online.
Sincerely,
XM Radio Online Support
Where do I begin? Lets start with the fact that Xm support didn’t even read my email. I said the registration page doesn’t work. Sound cards and media players don’t matter at the point. Not to mention I can’t very well continue to visit listen.xmradio.com for updates and information when I can’t REGISTER.
Next? Well we also have a bit of an inconsistency since while the registration page mentions IE, Netscape, and AOL as supported browsers, THIS email tells me to use Firefox (which I just told them didn’t work) and that IE is not supported. XM, you need to get things together over there.
